TRANSPORTATION
Car Pools: Pick-up and delivery of children should be on time. Students are encouraged to meet
their own particular car pool schedules and to behave in accordance with the driver’s rules.
Children MUST wait in the assigned areas for their car pools.
Before and After-School Pick-Up: All students, with the exception of Pre-K, will be picked up from the
alley behind the school. Cars need to form a MOVING line and continue down the alley toward Charleville.
Cars need to have the students’ last name and grade on a card provided by the school displayed on their right
visor or dashboard. In the morning, students are dropped off at the alley gate where a teacher will assist them
out of the car. After school, students will be called to their cars when the car pulls in front of the school yard
gates. If your child is not ready, then you will need to circle around the block and re-enter the line. Parents of
Pre-K students must park in front of the school and go to the classroom to sign out their children. Students
need to watch for their rides and get into the cars quickly and the cars need to keep moving. If your child is not
ready, then you will need to circle around the block and re-enter the line. Parents of Pre-K students must park
and go to the classrooms to sign out their younger students. If everyone cooperates, dismissal time will run
smoothly.
Pre-K and K parents and carpools are the ONLY ones allowed to enter the school grounds by way
of the alley between Linden and McCarty for pick-up. Parents of Pre-K and K students must park
and go to the classrooms to sign out the younger students.
After school is NOT a time for a quick conference with a teacher or to arrange after school
activities. If you wish a conference with a teacher, you must schedule an appointment. If you need
to stop at the office to take care of any other business, find a parking place on the street and walk
into the school. If everyone cooperates, dismissal time will run smoothly.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Parents who wish to take advantage of After School Care can register for this program. The cost for
this program is an extra monthly fee. Drop-ins will be handled on an individual basis. Any child still
on the school grounds at 3:15 will be escorted to After School Care and parents will be charged. All
students must be picked up from After School Care by 5:30 PM. A late fee of $1.00 per minute will
be charged and must be paid to the attending staff member at the time of pick-up.
