Visitors:  Good Shepherd School maintains a closed campus.  Therefore, no person other than
registered students may be on campus or in class at any time during the school day.  All
visitors must report to the school office and obtain a visitor’s badge.

Sports:  A program of sports for both boys and girls is offered.  The various teams (volleyball
and basketball for girls and boys) compete with other schools in the CYO League.  Practices
are held after school hours and games are played both at home and away.  Parents of students
who participate in sports will be expected to help provide transportation to and from the
games.  A Sports Fee is charged for participation of a sport.

Lost and Found:  Items that are found on the school grounds are kept in a cart.  All uniform
items, books, etc. should be clearly and PERMANENTLY marked with the child’s name.  
Parents and students are encouraged to check the Lost and Found on a regular basis.  
Periodically, unclaimed items will be given to needy families.

Grievance and Arbitration Procedures:  Good Shepherd School adheres to the grievance and
arbitration procedures of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Field Trips:  The Release of Liability Form, which parents must sign in connection with
various field trips and school activities, is required prior to the class trip.  No other form may
be substituted for this.  Permission CANNOT be given over the phone.  Parent drivers are also
required to fill out and leave a Driver Insurance Information Sheet in the school office.  

Student Council:  The school offers a leadership program for 7th and 8th Grade students.
Meetings are held after school weekly and various social activities are planned for the school.
Elections are held in May for the following year.
