Lunches
Monday – Thursday (Full Day): 12:00-12:35 pm (K-4th) and 12:35-1:10 pm (5th-8th grade)
Lunch is available from The Crack of Dawn Catering, a private catering company owned and operated by one of Good Shepherd’s own parents, Chef Alan Traynor.
The Crack of Dawn Catering is all about quality food, fresh ingredients, and outstanding service. Chef Traynor provides delicious, healthy meals using local vendors and non-processed, all-natural ingredients. Parents can count on consistent meals, appetizing menus, and healthy lunches that kids actually love. In fact, the meals are so good it is not uncommon to see teachers and staff eating them as well.
You can order lunches for up to two weeks in advance online at www.crackofdawncatering.com. Each day has three lunch choices and two sizes to accommodate a variety of tastes as well as smaller and larger appetites. Please place your orders by 8:00 pm the previous day to ensure delivery. Lunches will not be available unless ordered ahead of time.
Students may also bring their lunches to school. A paper towel or small towel is required to be used as a place mat on the lunch tables. Students will NOT call home for forgotten lunches nor should parents deliver any lunches to the classroom after the school day has begun. All deliveries should be placed on the table outside the office for pick up by the students at the beginning of lunch. Ask your child to check the lunch table to see if a lunch has been delivered if she/he does not have a lunch. Students may inquire at their regular break time to see if a delivery has been made.
Student may NOT leave campus during the day for lunch. They may NOT order lunch by phone to be delivered.
Fridays (half-day): No Lunch
The school day ends at 12:30 pm of Fridays, so no lunch is necessary. However, if your child stays for after school care or participates on one of the sports teams, he or she should bring a snack or lunch.
